Home visits are solely for patients who are either too ill to attend the surgery or are physically housebound. It is not possible to give a definite time for a home visit nor to guarantee which doctor will attend. The doctor may phone you before they visit for further information or to decide whether a visit is the most appropriate course of action.
In the event of something which you consider to be sudden and serious, please let the receptionist know that an urgent visit is required so that the doctor can be contacted immediately. The doctor may phone you back for more details.
If you consider that you need urgent medical treatment and cannot wait for a doctor to attend, telephone 999 for an ambulance.
