Qualified in 2008 at The University of Leicester. Dr Thomas joined Market Rasen Surgery in August 2010 as a trainee GP registrar and became fully qualified as a GP in August 2013

Qualified in 2008 at The University of Leicester. Dr Allen began her career in August 2010 in Caythorpe and Ancaster Medical Practice. She joined Market Rasen Surgery in January 2024. She also works as a Medical Examiner.

Sally Green
Nurse Practitioner /Team Leader
Sally is able to diagnose a range of conditions including minor ailments. She is fully trained in diabetes, contraceptive methods, including emergency contraception and is an independent prescriber who is able to issue prescriptions. Sally also assists the doctors with telephone triage.

Kirsty also specialises in diabetes, cervical screening, vaccinations and minor ailments.

Lesley carries out health checks, dressings, Learning Disability Assessments and immunisations and vaccinations.
Michael Smith
Specialist Nurse for the over 75s.
Michael carries out reviews of patients and identifies any areas that they may find difficult. This may relate to any medical condition, problems with medication, side effects, concerns with mobility, washing, eating or preparing food, worries about not sleeping, recent falls or trips, feeling lonely, worried or depressed.

Community Midwife
Lindsey sees patients during their pregnancy at the surgery on a weekly basis.
Healthcare Assistant
Health Care Assistants take blood for testing, check urine samples, monitor blood pressures, ECGs, perform lifestyle checks including height and weight and assist doctors with minor operations and procedures.
They work closely with the nursing team and doctors, sometimes carrying out the first part of the diabetic or heart disease reviews

Responsible for medication reviews, structured medication reviews, manging long term conditions, reviewing discharge summaries along with managing and prescribing for long term conditions. Lia is also responsible for clinical supervision for dispensing staff who are completing their dispensing qualifications.

Responsible for medication reviews, structured medication reviews, reviewing patients for cardiac health and reviewing discharge summaries. Amy also manages patients with long term conditions which involves running reports to identify patients who require a medication reviews to ensure their blood levels are monitored appropriately and remain within a safe range while receiving treatment.

Responsible for medication reviews, structured medication reviews, managing long term conditions, discharge summaries, answers patients queries and reviewing patients for diabetes.

Responsible for patient care and improving service efficiency. Tracey manages repeat prescriptions, communications with patients, ensures they attend the surgery for their blood tests when issuing their repeat medication.

Care Co-ordinator
Jennie assesses patients needs particularly those with a long term complex health conditions. Along with our practice nurse she's involved with Learning Disabilities and has helped us achieve the Learning Disability Friendly Practice Award. Jennie set up and actively promotes the Dementia Cafe which is held once a week in Market Rasen giving support along with signposting patients to other services.

Katie provides early intervention, holistic care and manage long term conditions such as fatigue, frailty and patients who are at risk of falling.
Amanda Thompson
Dispensary Manager
Amanda ensures the smooth and efficient operation of the dispensary. She supervises the dispensary team to maintain patient care and safety. Amanda also oversees stock control and manages the dispensary's finances ensuring effective financial control.
Shannon White
Deputy Dispensing Manager and Pharmacy Technician.
In her role as Deputy Dispensing Manager, Shannon supports the Dispensing Manager with the day-to-day management of the dispensary and takes responsibility for resolving issues in the manager's absence. One day per week she works alongside the pharmacists in her capacity of Pharmacy Technician providing clinical support.
Our Dispensing staff are responsible for processing prescriptions, dispensing medication, and ensuring patient safety. They liaises with patients, answering questions, ensuring patients understand their medication and taking payments. This also includes checking the dosage and labelling instructions.

Natasha supports the practice manager in the day-to-day operation of the practice. Along with handling complex inquiries, resolving issues and providing cover for staff. Maintaining the clinical rotas to ensure adequate support and supporting new staff and ensuring data quality guidelines are understood and adhered to.

Finance Manager
Responsible for the practice finance which includes keeping track of the income and expenditure, this includes paying invoices and liaising with customers and the Practice Accountants. She also liaises with staff regarding their salaries and NHS pensions.

Care Surgical Scheme Secretary
Responsible for the in-house surgical Scheme. Kerry books appointments for hernias, vasectomies, skin procedures and orthopaedic procedures. This is available for our patients and patients who are referred to our practice from practices in Lincolnshire.

Responsible for managing the practice's insurance claims. The role involves; accurately processing insurance claims ensuring all necessary documentation is provided to insurance companies and patients.
Our Medical Receptionist are responsible for handling, scheduling appointments via AskmyGP, telephone and front of reception. They signposts patients to the appropriate healthcare services, completes patient registrations and tasks. They are also responsible for maintaining patient records, entering data into healthcare systems, and ensuring that all information is accurate and up to date.
