You may be eligible to receive the flu vaccination, which is provided free of charge to all patients registered with the practice who are aged 65 or over and to patients with certain chronic diseases including: Diabetes, COPD, chronic heart disease, stroke, some asthmatic patients, chronic liver disease, such as hepatitis, chronic kidney disease, chronic neurological conditions, such as Parkinson's disease or motor neurone disease , problems with your spleen – for example, sickle cell disease or if you have had your spleen removed, chronic renal disease, pregnant women, carers, those with lowered immunity a weakened immune system as the result of conditions such as HIV and AIDS, or medication such as steroid tablets or chemotherapy and those living in long-stay nursing or residential homes.
The flu vaccine is recommended for children over the age of six months with a long-term condition and children aged two, three and four. Children eligible for the flu vaccine aged between two and 17 will usually have the flu vaccine nasal spray.
NHS England has released a new survey which ranks GP across the whole country. Market Rasen Surgery have come in the top 7% of GP Practices in the country.
The GP Survey is a huge ongoing poll, involving more than a million people a year.
It covers everything from the trust patients have in their doctor, to the attitude of reception staff and how easy it is to get an appointment.
Pharmacy2U - Repeat Prescription Service
You may have seen advertised in the press or heard on the radio information about Pharmacy2U - repeat prescription service. This is for repeat medication only.
Market Rasen Surgery is not promoting this or has any information relating to the service they are offering. This facility is entirely separate to the dispensary service that we provide within the Surgery.
The money raised for The Alzheimer's Society Cupcake day was £143.30. Many thanks to all the people who donated cakes, purchased them and made donations for this worthy cause, it was very much appreciated.

Registration for the C-Card Scheme
The Lincolnshire C-Card Scheme provides free condoms, lube and sexual health information to young people aged 13 – 19 years old.
To join C-Card you need to register at Market Rasen Surgery which is one of the C-Card Registration Points. This takes about 20 minutes. You will need to give your date of birth and the first part of your postcode. This information is confidential and you cannot be traced from it. You will be issued with a credit sized C-Card.
The C-Card Scheme is confidential, unless the C-Card Worker feels you or someone else is at risk or a crime has been committed. If they need to tell someone else they will always tell you first.
Registering for Online Services
If you would like to manage medication, book GP appointments and to be able to see your own electronic medical record online, please see a receptionist at the surgery to register for SystmOnline (you will need to provide identification when registering).
