General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
You are probably aware that the GDPR comes into force on 25th May 2018. We value your privacy and want you to be clear about the data we collect and store, how we use this and the rights you have to control that information. We have updated our privacy notice to reflect the changes introduced - this can be accessed in 'the about the practice section' under data privacy (we encourage you to read this privacy notice).
Important Changes to Booking a Doctor's Appointment
With effect from the 19th March 2018 if you require a routine doctor's appointment or advice please call the Practice before 3pm. After 3pm, if you URGENTLY need to speak to a doctor the receptionist will ask you for further details as the doctor is only able to deal with urgent requests after this time. This is due to an increased Practice list and Dr Hooton reducing his sessions to two days per week.
We are also working closely with surrounding practices to provide a service from 18:30 to 20:00 during the week and from 08:00 until 19:30 at the weekends (alternate Saturdays and Sundays). This service is based at Louth hospital and can be booked by contacting the surgery.
NHS England has released a new survey which ranks GP across the whole country. Market Rasen Surgery have come in the top 7% of GP Practices in the country.
The GP Survey is a huge ongoing poll, involving more than a million people a year.
It covers everything from the trust patients have in their doctor, to the attitude of reception staff and how easy it is to get an appointment.
Pharmacy2U - Repeat Prescription Service
You may have seen advertised in the press or heard on the radio information about Pharmacy2U - repeat prescription service. This is for repeat medication only.
Market Rasen Surgery is not promoting this or has any information relating to the service they are offering. This facility is entirely separate to the dispensary service that we provide within the Surgery.
